A good office wardrobe is very essential before you step out to face the corporate world. Moreover office wear does not always mean that it will be dull and drab, as now-a-days people are very much fashion conscious and they do everything to make work-wear fashionable.

Office wear should give a classy, professional appeal, and one should carry oneself perfectly well. It is important to look professional, competent and at the same time fashionable.

You can mix and match your style in the workplace in such a way so that you attract attention but do not cause distraction to others.

Women can go for corporate shirts as they are stylish and at the same time portray that confident professional attitude and comfortable too. Corporate shirts complement various moods as whether you are attending a meeting or taking part in an office party.

They come in a range of styles and patterns and you can select them based on your tastes and preferences. Corporate shirts come in various styles like checked shirts, striped shirts or regular plain corporate shirts.

Fashion designer Abhijit Saiprem says, "To look fashionable and trendy at office, try wearing subtle neutral floral tops with details like pin tucks, flounces, pleats etc with well fitted pencil skirts or well fitted pants."

It is advisable by the fashion experts to wear neutral colour in office as do not pop out to the eyes. It is best to go with colours like white, gray or beige, baby pink, cream and also black, tan & brown. White and black is the hottest combination all the time for office.

Abhijit advises, "Experimenting with soothing colours like yellow ochre, powder blues, mint greens, nudes, tans, blush pinks etc with tops and blouses gives pleasing personality."

For an elegant formal look, you can also wear neutral blouse with grey or black tailored trousers or pencil skirt. Also a simple A-line dress gives a unique look and does wonders at workplace.

Blazers are also versatile and stylish. You can wear a short blazer that ends at the waistline with trouser or with pencil skirt, high-waisted and at knee level as they give a smart look.

Like women, men are also very fashion conscious. Fashion Designer Abbhishek Chakrabarty suggested, “Add some colour in your office ties...or wear a coloured waist coat but colour should be pastel or earthy colours.....bold make you fool in the office”

A tie plays an important element in your formal wear. So choosing the right tie and that can add some extra spark to your outfit. You can wear a bold colour tie in contrast with your neutral colour formal shirt. But the colours of your tie should blend well with your skin tone well as the suit or shirt. This season mint greens and lime greens ties are very much in demand.

A formal shirt with double breast pockets and popper cuffs can add extra beauty to the shirt. Shirt can also enhance your professional image if you wear it with a nice blazer or a contrasting tie, making it an ideal choice for office wear.

If you wear suit in office then khaki, black, navy blue, or gray suits are always fashionable for the office as they make you look well polished.

Abhijit shares, "If you are confident and you want to look a bit trendy in office, and if it permits then you can put a patterned or brightly coloured scarf along with formal colours as it can add colour and give freshness to office wear."

Everyone wants to be fashionable in whatever they wear whether it is office wear or party wear as everyone wants to look good. So when heading for office it is best to mix and match your shirts, pants, skirt and suits to create several looks keeping your personal style and at the same time making a fashion statements.
