Asia’s biggest model contest hosted by Rashmi Virmani in collaboration with China Bentley Cultural Development Beijing, China was recently held in the capital among the whose who of he fashion fraternity. The biggest model contest, Asian Super Model India 2012, saw 16 finalists walking the ramp in some eye catching collection by designers Rajdeep Ranawat, Rabani and Rakha and Abdul Haldar.
The top three models from India will get the chance to be a part of the grand finale event in China. Present at the jury were FDCI President, Sunil Sethi, Editor Marie Claire Neena Haridas, Designer Duo Rohit & Rahul Gandhi, Designer Rina Dhaka, Director LawmanPg3 Karan Verma & Model turned ator Rajnish Duggal.
Winner Shashi, 1st runners up Tarveen and 2nd runners up Vijaya feel elated to be a part of the super model contest. Rashmi Virmani, Head, The Ramp, who brought the contest to India, shares, "The idea behind the Asian Super Model Contest is to launch 16 new talents for the fashion industry and to give the opportunity to the top three winners to represent India in the international pageant. The winners also get a chance to experience the fashion industry at an Asia Pacific level as they live with 33 other contestants from other Asian countries for over two weeks."
