Sabyasachi will be showcasing his work at Delhi after a long gap of five years. He always wanted to participate at the couture week but due to his prior work commitments things didn't fell in place. But this time everything has happened as per his convenience and he managed to pull off some time from his busy schedule to participate at the fashion extravaganza.
"Yes I will be showing at the Couture Week in Delhi. I wanted to showcase my line at the couture week since a long time now, but I couldn't due to prior commitments," says the excited designer.
Sabyasachi will be using an organic fabric from Murshidabad, Bengal for his collection that he will showcase in Delhi. The designer is currently busy with the premiere of the movie 'Raavan' in Paris and will start working on his collection as soon as he is back from Paris.
Though Sabyasachi is one of the first loyalists from Mumbai who has given his go ahead to the Delhi Couture Week, designer Tarun Tahiliani has backed out of the show. Tarun initially agreed to do the show but at the same time he was also having his Bridal Couture Exposition just adjacent to the Grand Hotel in Delhi. But it seems things didn't work out here and the designer has chose to give the couture show a miss.
FDCI Couture Week is happening from July 15 to July 18 and there is just one month to go. The designers name who will be participating in the show are not yet out and if sources are to be believed none of the designers are even informed about their participation in the week. They all are clueless and have been waiting for the official announcement to come.
